STAND UP TO CANCER PRIZE DRAWS

1. There are three ‘Stand Up To Cancer Prize Draws’ with one prize available in each:

a. the ‘James Corden’ prize draw to meet James Corden at The Late Late Show in Los Angeles in 2021 with a 3 night stay at the Andaz West Hollywood;

b. the ‘Naomi Ackie’ prize draw and the for brunch with Naomi Ackie and an overnight stay at Andaz London Liverpool Street; and

c. the ‘Daisy Edgar-Jones’ prize draw for a VIP Styling session with Daisy Edgar-Jones, £500 Hurr voucher and an overnight stay at Andaz London Liverpool Street

(each being a “Prize Draw”). Entry to each Prize Draw must be made separately.

By entering into a Prize Draw entrants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions below (“Terms and Conditions”) which consist of:

    • ‘General Terms and Conditions’ which apply to each of the Stand Up To Cancer Prize Draws unless stated otherwise; and
    • the relevant ‘Prize Specific Terms and Conditions’ which apply only to the relevant Prize Draw and which contain a full description of the prize available in that Prize Draw.
    • Any references to ‘the Prize Draw’ means the relevant Prize Draw you are entering into.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Eligibility

2. The Prize Draw is open to UK residents aged 18 or over, except employees of the Promoter and its subsidiary companies who are directly involved in the administration of the Prize Draw, and any other third party directly connected with the Prize Draw (including any advertising and promotional agencies engaged by the Promoter) together with their immediate family members and/or personal partners.

3.The Promoter reserves the right to request evidence of eligibility, including the identity and age of any entrant.

How to enter

4. Entry to the Prize Draw opens 25 September 2020 at 01:00 UK time and closes 25 November 2020 at 23:59 UK time (“Entry Period”). Entries received outside the Entry Period will not be entered.

5. Entries to the Prize Draw must be submitted in one of the following ways:

a. Paid method of entry: Pay £5 for one entry into the Prize Draw, £10 for five entries into the Prize Draw, £15 for ten entries into the Prize Draw, £25 for thirty entries into the Prize Draw or £50 for 100 entries into the Prize Draw to Cancer Research UK by completing and submitting a paid entry via the entry form using the following links depending on which Prize Draw you are entering:

b. Free method of entry: Write your full name, email address and the name of the Prize Draw you wish to enter (James Corden’, ‘Naomi Ackie’ or ‘Daisy Edgar-Jones’) on a blank sheet of paper or postcard and send it with sufficient postage to Stand Up to Cancer Prize Draw, Furness Gate, Peter Green Way, Furness Business Park, Barrow-in-Furness, LA14 2PE.  A maximum of one entry can be made to one Prize Draw per postcard or envelope received.

6. Entrants may submit more than one entry. Where the paid method of entry is used on multiple separate occasions by an entrant, the total amount of entries allocated to the entrant will be based on the number of entries purchased in each separate submission of the entry form. For example, if an entrant submits two separate £5 payments, they will be allocated two entries, rather than the five entries that they would have been allocated had they made a single £10 payment.

7. Entries must be made directly by the person entering the Prize Draw. Third party, bulk and/or automated applications shall not be accepted.

8. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for incorrect or incomplete personal details provided by a winner, or for any damage or loss resulting from entry into the Prize Draw. The Promoter shall also not be liable for issues of any kind which may prevent, restrict or delay the sending or receipt of an entry, including (but not limited to) technical faults such as network, computer, hardware or software failures. Late, damaged, illegible or corrupt entries, or those not complying with these Terms and Conditions, will not be valid. Proof of posting or transmission is not proof of receipt by the Promoter.

Prizes

9. There is one prize to be won per Prize Draw, full details of which are set out in the relevant Prize Specific Terms and Conditions.

10. The provision of any prize does not imply endorsement by the Promoter of any third parties concerned in any way with the Prize Draw.

11. Each winner is responsible for organising and paying for all associated arrangements and costs that are not specifically stated in these Terms and Conditions, including (where applicable and unless specifically described in the relevant prize description): travel insurance; travel vaccinations; transport to/from an event, airport or accommodation; food and drink; accommodation; spending money and all other incidentals. The winner is also personally responsible for any personal or incidental expenses and any VAT, national and/or local tax liabilities incurred in claiming or using the prize.

12. Entrants will also be responsible for ensuring that they and any person travelling with them are available to take up the prize on the relevant date (or within the relevant range of dates) and, in the case of overseas travel, hold valid passports, any necessary visas and travel documents for the holiday in question on the relevant travel dates.

13. Unless stated otherwise in the relevant prize description, each prize is to be claimed by winners and concluded by 30 November 2021. All prizes are subject to availability, including availability of the winner and any third party involved as part of the prize (such as a celebrity), as applicable. Each entrant acknowledges that the availability of the prize is also subject to the UK government's COVID-19 guidelines from time to time and, where the prize involves foreign travel, the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office's travel restrictions, the COVID-19 guidance of the government or relevant authorities of the destination country and transport availability as a result of these. Reasonable endeavours shall be used to match the winner's availability to the availability of their prize, but availability is subject to change.

14. Each prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-negotiable. In the event of circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize for a similar prize of equal or greater value or, at its sole discretion, the cash value of the prize.

15. By participating, entrants agree that each prize is awarded on an “as is” basis and that the Promoter makes no representations or gives no warranties of any nature in relation to each prizes.

16. Each prize is taken at the winner's own risk. Insofar as permitted by law, the Promoter will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of using and/or taking up (or failing to use and/or take up) the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter or its employees.

Winner selection

17. The winner of the Prize Draw will be the first valid entry selected at random by a random computer process from all complete, eligible and properly submitted entries received during the Entry Period. The draw for all prizes will take place on 1 December 2020 (“Draw Date”). Reserve winners will also be selected in case the original winner cannot be contacted and/or do not provide the necessary information. The Promoter’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

18. The winner will be notified within seven days of the Draw Date via email using the details provided by the winner upon entry. The winner notification will contain details of how to claim the prize.

19. If a winner cannot be contacted or fails to respond to communications within 21 days of notification, the prize will be forfeited and the Promoter reserves the right to award a prize to a reserve winner selected as set out above.

20. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if it reasonably believes there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions or a winner’s conduct is contrary to these Terms and Conditions and in these circumstances the Promoter also reserves the right to require the return of any prize awarded (if applicable) and select an alternative winner as set out above.

21. Each winner will be required to provide certain information in order to assist the Promoter in arranging the prize, including the dates that the winner is available to take the prize and the proof of age of the winner and their guest. Further details will be set out in each winner notification.

General

22. The Promoter reserves the right to (i) cancel or suspend the Prize Draw; (ii) cancel or refuse any individual’s entry and (iii) amend these Terms and Conditions (and will use reasonable endeavours to notify changes to entrants and potential entrants).

23. Any personal data received from entrants will only be used and/or shared with third parties where necessary for the proper purposes of the Prize Draw and in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Statement at http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/terms-and-conditions/privacy-statement.

24. The winner acknowledges that the Promoter may request their consent to participate in promotional activity and material relating to the Prize Draw. However, for the avoidance of doubt neither entry into the Prize Draw nor the likelihood of the entrant being the prize winner are conditional upon consent being given.

25. The winner's surname and county will be available for one month after the Draw Date to anyone who sends a stamped addressed envelope and the name of the relevant Prize Draw ('James Corden', 'Naomi Ackie' or 'Daisy Edgar-Jones' when submitting your enquiry) to the following address: Stand Up To Cancer Prize Draw, Furness Gate, Peter Green Way, Furness Business Park, Barrow-in-Furness, LA14 2PE. If the winner objects to this information being made available, they should inform the Promoter at the earliest opportunity. In such cases, the Promoter will not make their details available to members of the public but the winner acknowledges that the Promoter may still be required to share their details with the Advertising Standards Authority.

26. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with English law and entrants agree to irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in respect of any dispute arising out of or in connection with them.

PRIZE SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PRIZE SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All prizes are to take place at a date to be agreed between the Promoter and winner, prior to 30 November 2021.

The ‘James Corden’ Prize Draw to meet James Corden at The Late Late Show in Los Angeles in 2021 with a 3 night stay at the Andaz West Hollywood

1. Prize description - what is included?

    • The prize is for two people (winner plus one guest).
    • Two tickets to The Late Late Show in Los Angeles in 2021 including a backstage tour and access to the green room to meet James Corden.
    • Flights to Los Angeles from a major UK airport, arranged by Cancer Research UK using American Airlines AAdvantage Miles.
    • A three night hotel stay at the Andaz West Hollywood, based on two people sharing one room (double or twin).

2. The Prize is subject to the availability of James Corden and the shooting of the Late Late Show.

3. Both the winner and their guest must be 18+.

4. Airport transfer and meals are not included. Please see clause 11 of the General Terms and Conditions.

The ‘Naomi Ackie’ Prize Draw for brunch with Naomi Ackie and an overnight stay at Andaz London Liverpool Street

1. Prize description - what is included?

    • The prize is for two people (winner plus one guest).
    • Brunch with Naomi Ackie at Andaz London Liverpool Street.
    • An overnight stay for two at Andaz London Liverpool Street, based on two people sharing one room (double or twin), including breakfast.
    • Rail travel to/from London from the winner's local rail station within the UK.

2. Prize dates are subject to the availability of Naomi Ackie and the Andaz London Liverpool Street.

3. Both the winner and their guest must be 18+.

4. Transport within London and any other meals not mentioned are not included. Please see clause 11 of the General Terms and Conditions.

The ‘Daisy Edgar-Jones’ Prize Draw for a VIP Styling session with Daisy Edgar-Jones, £500 Hurr voucher and an overnight stay at Andaz London Liverpool Street

1. Prize description - what is included?

    • The prize is for one person. The winner can bring a guest for the hotel stay, but the guest will not directly take part in the styling session or receive the Hurr voucher.
    • A styling session with Daisy Edgar-Jones and her stylist, Nicky Yates, at Hurr's pop-up shop at Selfridges in London.
    • A £500 voucher for fashion rental brand Hurr, for the winner to spend to rent the looks styled in the styling session and/or to be used at a later date after the session via Hurr's online service.
    • An overnight stay for two at Andaz London Liverpool Street, based on two people sharing one room (double or twin), including breakfast.
    • Rail travel to/from London from the winner's local rail station within the UK.

2. Prize dates are subject to availability of Daisy Edgar-Jones, Nicky Yates and the Andaz London Liverpool Street.

3. Both the winner and their guest must be 18+.
